Ya girl turned 23 last week and I celebrated in true 20s/millennial fashion – I ate a TONNE of pretentious food every night for about a week and I’m now on a diet…
Anyway, as a birthday treat, Tom and I made a long awaited trip to Dominique Ansel Bakery, AKA the home of the cornet, AKA bakery and sweet treat heaven, AKA my heaven.
Let us first discuss the shop exterior – could I be anymore enticed, I think not.
The inside also did not disappoint – and choosing just 2 desserts was a challenge.
In the end we went for pumpkin pie (by recommendation) and a cronut (obviously). Both of which were lovely, but the cronut especially was better than expected.
Outside the back there’s also a really beautiful little conservatory/garden area, which we couldn’t sit in because we went on a Saturday morning and obviously it was rammed!
All in all, a very lovely setting, with very lovely treats and definitely worth a visit.
*N/b – very expensive!
